Let’s set the scene: you’ve formulated a mind-blowingly delicious new product. You feel on top of the world and cannot wait to share it with your customers.
Until you realize you have absolutely no idea what to post.
Never 👏🏻 Again 👏🏻
Today I’m giving you a preview of my FREE guide: The Six-Day Campaign.
You’ll learn how to create a six-day marketing campaign across social media & emails. While this is just a preview, you can get the checklists, launch sequence, and more that I’ve used to secure record sales for my clients right here.
Plan Your New Product Campaign
First things first, we gotta plan! If you’ve met me, you’ll know I never do anything without a plan. And in terms of marketing, that’s because there are two parts to a successful campaign.
The offer itself, and how the offer is marketed.
If the offer is lackluster, no amount of brilliant marketing can save it. But on the flip side, if the offer is enticing, crappy marketing will cause it to flop. Because if nobody sees it, nobody can buy it.
Write down what your offer actually is. In this case, it’s a new product. But what exactly is the new product?
- What does it add to your line-up?
- What does it taste, smell, or feel like?
- What’s it made of?
- What are the benefits?
- Why did you create it?
- How is it going to improve your customer’s life?
- When should they use it?
Then consider if there are any bonuses you can add to this product launch. A free shipping code? A free gift with purchase? This will increase your sales.
And finally, what are the most important dates of the campaign? This is especially important if the new product is a seasonal launch.
Fill Out a Campaign Template for Your New Product
You’re going to need to download my FREE guide for this step! Included in the guide is a campaign template for you to complete.
The template is essentially a mini calendar for your product launch. It covers six days of recommended posts for the Instagram grid, Instagram stories, and email marketing. I’ve included one template that’s completed (with links to example posts!) and one blank template for you to use.
Create Social Media Posts (and email newsletters!)
After you’ve completed the campaign template, you’ll need to create the posts and email newsletters.
You can do this as you normally would. My free guide includes checklists to optimize your social media posts & email newsletters. You can also check out this blog post to improve your Instagram stories, this one for your Instagram captions, and this blog post for the tech & tools I use to create content for my clients.
Review the Campaign Performance to Improve Next Time
You’ve hit publish on your posts, scheduled your email newsletters, and are ready to pack your orders. But the marketing doesn’t end there.
Once your campaign has ended, it’s time to review what worked so you can get even more sales next time.
Ask yourself questions like…
- What were your sales & how did that compare to your target?
- What were the highest sales days?
- Where did your sales come from?
- What posts had the best reach? The strongest engagement?
